Answer by LashCat is back
For my baby shower a friend knit me a blanket and it was one of my favorite gifts I have ever received because it was handmade from her for my son and it showed a lot of thought and care which you cant buy at a store. So i think a hand made knit blanket it a wonderful idea.
Question by Lisa: What size knitting needles should I use to make a scarf?
I only have size 9 as of now. I am making a scarf that goes row1- knit, row2- purl, row3- knit, row4- knit, and repeat. The pattern said to cast on 24 stitches (or whatever the things you cast on are called). I’m a beginner, if you can’t tell.
The pattern didn’t specify a needle size.
Thanks.

Question by Kaylee Mai: What material should a baby blanket be made out of?
It for a newborn being born right in the dead of winter in New York State, so it needs to be warm. Also not itchy or too heavy for him to be swaddled in. And durable because I’m hoping he’ll keep it for years and years. Also, I’m knitting it.
Question by ragmama210: How does felting a knitted project work? Does it make the item shrink at all?
I would love to make a pair of felted baby Mary Janes, but I’m not quite sure how to go about it. I think you use 100% wool – is that right? Any type/brand I should look for? Then wash in hot water to felt, correct? Does this cause the project to shrink in the washing/felting process? Obviously, if it’s something that’s supposed to fit, I’d hate for something half the size to come back out.
Question by Judith: Where can I find some knitting patterns for alphabet letters?
I want an actual pattern that will give me 3D versions of each alphabet letter. I want to make them kind of as pillows for a baby to spell out his name.
