No wonder my gauge is off when I switch from dpns to circulars or vice versa. These are the same brand, too.

Question by Gaily-Gaily 14: Can I convert magic loop to long circular knitting?
If I am knitting in the round with magic loop, and I am increasing a lot until I have enough to fill the length of the circs, can I just knit it to make a large round, ie at the beginning or the next smaller magic loop round, can I like just knit on and make it a large round?
Question by : What is the best circular knitting device in your opinion?
I’m looking for a knitting “machine” with a hand-crank. I think I might like the Addi Express, but not the kingsize version. I don’t want to buy any toy versions that only take skinny yarns. (I already have several Knifty Knitter looms.) Thank You!
Question by funnygirl5236: How do I get a circular knitting needle cord to stop twisting?
Hi knitters!
I am a new knitter and just got my first pair of circular needles. Before I even start a project how to I get the cord to stop twisting and lay flat? It is a vinyl cord. Any ideas would be so appreciated and thanks in advance for your help.

Susan Bates Silverado circular needle

I almost forgot I had this needle. I used it for my first FO and haven’t touched it since. I was surprised to note that it has a really nice cord. If it were a bit longer I’m sure it would work for Magic Loop. I believe Silverado is the cheaper of Susan Bates’s two types of aluminum circulars. I wonder if Quicksilver is even nicer!

Knit or Get off the Pot

You can’t see them, but I have an awesome set of circular needles. They’re apparently kinda rare and are prized by real knitters. So I’m a bit smug about having them. Heh heh. They’re Boye Balene needles and are made with casein protein to somehow simulate the whale-bone needles of old. Those needles were prized for their flexibility and warmth. (They’d kinda become warm as you worked with them, I hear.)

Question by Paradise: When to use circular knitting needles? Vertical striped scarf?
I wanted to do vertical stripes on my scarf, so I went to ask my art teacher how to. She said I needed circular knitting kneedles? I don’t know anything about them. I’m new to knitting. Can someone tell me if that’s true?
Also, what are the other uses for circular knitting needles?
