Question by Life in the slow lane: Senior women: How many of you taught your daughters needle work, crochet, knitting, tatting, sewing?
Do YOU know how to do these things? Are these lost arts that will never return? Your thinking please.

My mom never taught me any of the above. I’m 45. I can’t even sew on a button that doesn’t immediately fall off.

I bought this apron at a flea market last weekend and now my baby girl toddler (she’s 2) wants an apron. I was wondering if anyone knew of any sewing/knitting/crochet patterns for this.

Question by Hello: Both a crochet and knitting needle in one?
I’ve seen them in stores before, its one really long hook and its used to make things in a mixture of both crocheting and knitting. I just don;t remember what its called. Anyone know?

Learn what Crochet is
Crochet was one of my mother’s favorite hobbies while I preferred knitting again,knitting was easier for me when I was a child but today crocheting is also a very relaxing hobby. I don’t think it’s very popular under the young people today like knitting but it’s still something different that you can try.
