Wal-Mart (or similar store) sells a kit – called something like “I Can’t Believe I’m Knitting” … not too expensive, if I remember correctly. Comes with an instruction book & knitting needles, I think…

http://www.knittingpatterncentral.com is the best site you will find. But in order to learn from scratch i would recommend going onto www.youtube.com and looking for a knitting video. Watching it might be more useful since you’ll be able to see the way you need to maneuver your hands. Ive been Knitting and crocheting along with other various crafts for years now and its all about the way you move your hands. P.S. dont freak out if your work isn’t PERFECT. lol hope this helps! and good luck!

I saw center for learning knit and crochet
Address: Mostafa Kamel street in front of Jelaty 3aza.
There is a big sign about courses in knit and crochet.
Also i heard there is a lot of khedma egtma3ya institutes, people pay 5 EGP per month to learn knit and crochet.

I’m pretty sure they have classes at JoAnn Fabric stores. You may want to give them a call and inquire.
