I have tried making a ball with the two strands still tangles.

Put one on one side of you and the other one on the other side. Don’t twist them up when you turn your work to do the next row.

My mom wants to know, How can you change a knitting pattern in worsted weight yarn to sport weight yarn?

Answer by knittinmama
It can be done but the results will probably not be good. You would have to use a larger size needle than the pattern calls for to get the correct gauge and the drape of the finished project would be looser.

There are bulky yarns available in different fibers, colors and price ranges. These yarns are generally much thicker then regular yarn and are used for things like winter jackets and blankets.
