Question by Been There: Any yarn suggestions for knitting an afghan?
I need worsted wt 4; 2,000 yards plus one skein; merino wool would be great…. and, of course, not expensive.

Crochet advice needed for my baby afghan?
Question by : Crochet advice needed for my baby afghan?
Hi!
I’m going to crochet an afghan for my baby. It is my first major project and I really care about how it turns out. I have 2 questions, (about the yarn I chose and what hook size to use,) before I start.
This is the Bernat pattern I’m going to use:

I’m going to be writing up a pattern for this blanket soon, because it is so much simpler to do than it looks. An ideal new-knitter project, it is entirely made with just cast on, cast off, knit, purl, and yarn-over stitches.
