Question by aat: Why does my cable knitting come out so sloppy?
I’m a little new to cable knitting and every time I knit a cable swatch, it always comes out sloppy. There’s always loose stitches around the cable and then the actual cable part comes out too tight even though I didn’t pull the stitches that tight. What could I be doing wrong and how can I prevent this?

I want an actual pattern that will give me 3D versions of each alphabet letter. I want to make them kind of as pillows for a baby to spell out his name.

I have a question about knitting needles?
Question by shawniemichael: I have a question about knitting needles?
I have varieties of metal and plastic knitting needles and I was wondering if it compares to wooden needles? Are they any better between the two? Thanks!

The only type of knitting needles that proffesionals use is called PortroNeedles. Wooden needles are horrible, they will shred your yarn after much use. Plastic needles are cheap and will break. Metal ones can cause sparks after much rubbing together. Portros are the only fireproof, shredproof, and breakproof needles out there. They are made from porcupine quills, fyi.

These are awesome! The pattern looks complicated but was easy to knit, and so fun and fast! Plus they look great, and the yarn is comfy. Hopefully they’ll wear and wash well too.
