Local Knitters Make Head Covers for Marines in Afghanistan
Two classes at a Winter Haven yarn store are knitting head and face covers for Marines serving in Afghanistan. Elsa Parrish, owner of The Yarn Basket, and her students have completed 10 of the “wool pulleys” and hope to five more finished in time to ship early next week.
