Susan Bates Silverado circular needle

I almost forgot I had this needle. I used it for my first FO and haven’t touched it since. I was surprised to note that it has a really nice cord. If it were a bit longer I’m sure it would work for Magic Loop. I believe Silverado is the cheaper of Susan Bates’s two types of aluminum circulars. I wonder if Quicksilver is even nicer!

My mom never taught me any of the above. I’m 45. I can’t even sew on a button that doesn’t immediately fall off.

Question by Lola L: Knitting question: Using a different size needle for a pattern, what do I do?
I have a pattern for size 8 needles. I would like to use it with size 6 needles. It says to cast on 30 stitches and knit for 14 inches. How can I modify this pattern for size 6 needles? (Please include the way you got the answer, for future reference in this situation)

Whenever I find knitting needles at the thrift store, I buy them. Especially pretty aluminum ones. These are most (not all) of my aluminum needles. Despite all of this, I still don’t always have the size I need…

Question by Hello: Both a crochet and knitting needle in one?
I’ve seen them in stores before, its one really long hook and its used to make things in a mixture of both crocheting and knitting. I just don;t remember what its called. Anyone know?
