Question by bazoo: Do I need to increase the number of cast on sts if I’m knitting cable socks instead of regular k2p2?
I’m going to knit a pair of socks with cables for the first time. I normally cast on 48 sts for a pair of basic socks. Do I need to increase (or decrease) the number of cast on stitches for the cable stocks.
Question by Nettles: Which knitting loom do you use to make a female adult sock? and male? size? number of pegs?
Which knitting loom do you use to make a female adult sock? and male? size? number of pegs?
Answer by renegade_knitter I use needles because I think the looms do not make small enough stitches and if the stitches are too big, the socks will not fit or wear well. You can buy “sock machines” that are special looms for making socks, if you do not know how to knit with needles.
