Question by Liz: I need to know if the yarn on a knitting needle can hang off the needle?
I have just started to knit, and I learned how to just do the first row on ONE needle. I have two needles though, but the one needle that has all the stitches is getting filled up and I want it to be longer, so I am wondering, can the yarn hang off of the needle or does it always have to be on the needle?

Question by catt_her_ine: Are there any one skien scarf patterns out there? I have some chunky yarn and the holidays are coming up.?
I need to knit a scarf for my best friend for Christmas and I need a pattern. I am broke and only have one full skien of useable yarn. I would like to try something besides garter stitch, I use it all the time. I want to do something unique and fun, just like my best friend. And the scarf needs to be something that I can do very quickly – I only have three weeks at the most. Thank you.

Question by : does purling vs. onesided knitting waste yarn?
I like to purl knit. It is most easiest for me. I’ve tried to oneside knit but its hard for me to swicth over.

What is onesided knitting called? Englsih or something? And does purling rather than knitting that way waste yarn?

Hi! I have 10 skeins of Lion Brand Boucle’ yarn, and I’m looking for a sweater or coat pattern that I can use this yarn to knit with. I found one sweater pattern at Lionbrand.com, but I didn’t really like it. Does anyone know of a pattern that I can use, or even substitute with this yarn? I’m 24, and like something a little longer (not into the short shirts)
